Audit & Assurance Services

Independent, thorough financial audits for organisations that need clarity, credibility, and compliance.

Financial Clarity Starts with a Rigorous Audit

Whether you are an SME preparing for growth, an NGO reporting to donors, or a government entity answering to the public, your stakeholders deserve confidence that your numbers tell the truth. That is precisely what we deliver.

Euro Arab Group provides independent audit and assurance services grounded in International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Since 2015 our bilingual teams in Amman, London, and Dubai have examined the books of charities, clinics, construction firms, educational institutions, and fast-scaling startups across the GCC and Levant — always with the same commitment: practical recommendations, not just findings.

We go beyond confirming compliance. Every engagement is designed to surface hidden risks, strengthen internal controls, and give your board, donors, or investors a clear picture of where you stand — and where you can improve.

Five Audit Disciplines, One Consistent Standard

1. External Audit (Statutory Audit)

A full-scope examination of your financial statements conducted by our independent auditors. We issue an auditor’s opinion, prepare the management letter, and present findings to your board or audit committee. External audits are often required by law, by donors, or by lending institutions — and they form the foundation of public trust in your organisation’s finances.

Typical timeline: 4–12 weeks depending on organisational complexity.

2. Internal Audit

An ongoing, structured review of your internal controls, risk-management procedures, and governance frameworks. We act as an extension of your team — identifying control gaps in procurement, payroll, IT security, and financial reporting before they escalate into material issues. Reports are delivered monthly or quarterly, with clear action items and follow-up tracking.

Ideal for: mid-size to large organisations seeking continuous assurance rather than a single annual snapshot.

3. Compliance Audit

We verify that your organisation adheres to the specific laws, regulations, donor covenants, or internal policies that govern your operations. Whether that means USAID grant conditions, anti-money-laundering (AML) requirements, or sector-specific regulatory frameworks, we produce a compliance certification alongside a gap assessment and a concrete remediation plan.

Typical timeline: 2–6 weeks per audit cycle.

4. Forensic Audit

When irregularities are suspected — fraud, embezzlement, procurement manipulation, or financial misstatement — our forensic team traces the evidence. We reconstruct transaction trails, interview personnel, and produce reports that stand up in legal and regulatory proceedings. Confidentiality and chain-of-custody discipline are maintained throughout.

Deliverable: a detailed investigative report with documented evidence and recommended corrective actions.

5. Special-Purpose Audit

Not every audit requires a full-scope engagement. We conduct targeted examinations of individual funding streams, grant acquittals, project expenditures, or specific financial schedules. These engagements are scoped precisely to the question your stakeholders need answered — no more, no less.

Typical timeline: 2–4 weeks.

How an Engagement Unfolds

Every audit follows a structured five-stage process that keeps you informed from the first conversation to the final follow-up.

1

Engagement

We meet your leadership, define the scope, agree on timelines and fees, and sign the engagement letter.

2

Planning

We study your business environment, map key risks, assess materiality thresholds, and design the audit programme.

3

Fieldwork

Our team tests internal controls, samples transactions, confirms balances, and gathers substantive evidence — on-site or remotely.

4

Reporting

We draft findings and recommendations, discuss them with management, and issue the formal auditor’s opinion and management letter.

5

Follow-Up

We track the implementation of our recommendations, verify that prior-year findings have been addressed, and prepare you for the next cycle.

Deep Experience Across Five Key Sectors

Non-Governmental Organisations

Donor-funded programmes, USAID and World Bank compliance, grant acquittals, and multi-currency reporting. We understand the unique accountability pressures NGOs face.

Small & Medium Enterprises

Growth-stage companies preparing for investment, bank lending, or simply tightening their financial governance. We scale our approach to fit your size and budget.

Government & Public Sector

Statutory audits of public agencies, performance audits, and IPSAS-compliant reporting. We help public bodies demonstrate responsible stewardship of taxpayer funds.

Healthcare

Hospitals, clinics, and medical networks with complex revenue cycles, regulatory obligations, and data-protection requirements. Our auditors know the sector’s specific financial risks.

Education

Universities, training institutes, and scholarship programmes. We audit tuition revenues, endowment funds, and grant expenditures against both IFRS and donor-specific frameworks.

The Frameworks That Guide Our Work

Our audit methodology is built on internationally recognised standards, adapted for the regulatory realities of the markets we serve.

  • International Standards on Auditing (ISA) — the backbone of every engagement, ensuring consistent quality, documentation, and professional scepticism.
  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) — the default reporting framework for most of our clients, including entities in Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the UK.
  • International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) — applied when auditing government agencies and publicly funded bodies.
  • Local regulatory frameworks — Jordanian Companies Law, UAE Federal Decree-Law on Commercial Companies, Saudi SOCPA requirements, and UK Companies Act obligations. We stay current so you do not have to.
  • Donor-specific requirements — USAID, World Bank, EU, and GIZ each impose their own audit and reporting conditions. We have performed dozens of donor-compliance audits and know exactly what each funder expects.

What Sets Us Apart

There is no shortage of audit firms in the region. Here is why organisations choose — and stay with — Euro Arab Group.

  • Bilingual, bi-cultural teams. Every engagement is staffed by professionals fluent in both English and Arabic, comfortable working with financial statements, donor reports, and board presentations in either language.
  • GCC + Levant expertise. We operate across Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the United Kingdom. That cross-border perspective means we understand how regulations differ from Amman to Riyadh to Dubai — and how to keep you compliant in all of them.
  • Practical recommendations, not just findings. Our management letters do not stop at identifying weaknesses. We outline specific, implementable steps your team can take to close each gap, and we follow up to make sure they do.
  • Right-sized engagements. We are large enough to handle complex, multi-entity audits, yet small enough to assign senior professionals — not junior trainees — to every project. You will know your audit manager by name.
  • Transparent pricing. We quote fixed fees wherever possible, so you know the cost before fieldwork begins. No surprise invoices, no scope-creep surcharges.

Common Questions About Our Audit Services

How long does a typical external audit take?

For a small to mid-size organisation, you can expect the full cycle — from engagement letter to signed opinion — to take between four and ten weeks. Larger or multi-entity audits may require up to twelve weeks. We agree on a detailed timeline during the planning stage so there are no surprises.

Do we need to be IFRS-compliant to engage your firm?

Not at all. While IFRS is the most common framework among our clients, we also audit under IPSAS, local GAAP, and donor-specific bases of accounting. Part of our planning process is determining which framework applies to your organisation and ensuring your financial statements are prepared accordingly.

Can you conduct the audit remotely?

Yes. We routinely perform remote and hybrid audits, particularly for clients across multiple countries. Secure document-sharing platforms, video calls for walkthroughs, and electronic confirmations allow us to maintain audit quality regardless of geography. Where physical inspection of assets or inventory is necessary, we arrange on-site visits.

What is the difference between an internal audit and an external audit?

An external (statutory) audit produces an independent opinion on your published financial statements — it is primarily for shareholders, donors, and regulators. An internal audit, by contrast, is a continuous evaluation of your internal controls and processes, reporting to your management and board. Both are valuable; many organisations engage us for both services simultaneously.

How are your audit fees structured?

We prefer fixed-fee proposals so you have cost certainty from day one. Fees are based on the scope, complexity, number of locations, and reporting requirements. After an initial scoping discussion we provide a written proposal with a clear breakdown — no hidden charges.
